JAPANESE shipping giant has announced a general rate increase on westbound trades from Asia to East Coast South America will increase as of April 1, 2014.

All cargo moving from Asia, including India Sub-Continent, to the ECSA will increase to US$750/TEU and $1,500/FEU and $1,000 per 40 foot NOR (Non-operating Reefer).
